The Portside Market brings the best of Vancouver Island artisans to the waterfront! We add a grassroots element to the boardwalk community, uniting craftsmanship, atmosphere, and community.

The Portside Markets are planned for the dates upon which the cruise ships are visiting. We want to contribute to our adorable downtown core and make Nanaimo an experience that no one will forget!

No Canadian Cash? No problem! Exchange any world currency for Clams, our market money. Each Clam is equal to one Canadian dollar, and is good at all vendor tents at the Portside Market. Plus, you can round up your purchase to support local causes!

Organizing Team

Eventure is curated by a small team of designers, researchers, and ecologists who believe that technology must serve the planet — not the other way around. Working between Milan, Nairobi, and São Paulo, the team brings together local knowledge and global collaboration to shape a gathering rooted in care, creativity, and systems thinking.
We don’t just program talks — we curate experiences, relationships, and ideas that grow long after the event ends.
